Working Papers
Agent-based modeling and experimental economics: exploring the behaviors behind the outcomes. This paper skims a few of the more exotic techniques for analyzing the results of economic experiments. It looks at convolutions (gaussian, Fourier and Haar wavelets) and agent-based modeling. PDF
The Challenge of Enforcement in Market-Based Emission Control Programs. This paper is a start on an extensive-form game to compare two market-based pollution control approaches (cap-and-trade and pollution credits) with a Pigovian tax (carbon tax). PDF
Valuing the Bosque: A Hedonic Study of Open Space Amenities and Home Prices. This paper is a start on combining a hedonic study of housing prices with spatial analysis using GIS data. PDF
Housing Prices, Pollution and Trends in the Value of a Statistical Life. This is an attempt to update and expand the ground-breaking work of Paul Portney in 1981. It ends up being more a study of the history of air pollution monitoring in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and of studies in pollution-related mortality. Submitted for publication.
