CE 547: GIS in Water Resources Engineering

In this course, the principles and operation of geographic information systems are taught using ArcGIS® (v10.1). Course assignments include working with surface and subsurface digital representations of the environment with consideration of hydrologic and transportation processes. Individual experience in GIS is gained by completing a term project that applies GIS to a specific area of the student’s interest.

Assignments

Regular assignments in CE 547 are based on exercises in utilizing ArcGIS® v10.1.

Optional assignments, and other homework, may include exercises using additional models, software, and manuals other than ArcGIS® v10.1 (e.g. HEC-HMS).
