Zuni Elementary Magnet School for Communication and Technology

Magnet Mission Statement: Every child will have the opportunity to maximize his/ her potential through enriched technological experiences.

Zuni Elementary School is a magnet school for communication and technology.  All students are taught to express themselves through various forms of communication, both oral and written, to prepare them to flourish as critical thinking citizens of the world.

In addition to the many communicative enriching programs and activities that can be found at Zuni, we have two technology learning centers, or computer labs. In these labs students use hardware and software to accomplish and support the goals of our school wide educational plan for student success (EPSS) as well as our school magnet mission statement. Additionally, Zuni has other accessible technologies from laptops to digital cameras where students are able to learn how to use the equipment while enhancing their academic learning objectives.

In early 2009 Zuni will become a dual platform school! The goal of a dual platform school is to focus on academic excellence while enriching all students by using cutting edge technologies that are available by both PC and MAC computer platforms.
