ABOUT US

The Native Americans in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (NA-STEM) - formerly known as the Native American Program, School of Engineering - provides support services to Native American students majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) degree programs at the University of New Mexico and has been in operation since 1975.

Our mission is to provide academic support to American Indian students entering degree programs in science, engineering , technology and mathematics. NA-STEM provides a supportive community environment, academic support services, coordinates informational workshops and offers academic scholarships to assist with the successful matriculation into STEM careers.
