Dr. Julie Coonrod started this course fifteen years ago. As with any course involving technology, the course continually evolves. The class is currently taught in a state-of-the art computer classroom and this year will be transitioning to an online course on learn.unm.edu.
Much of the course is similar to Dr. David Maidment's course at the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Coonrod finished her Ph.D. work under Dr. David Maidment during the summer of 1998.
