New Mexico Historical Review


		Dr. Durwood Ball, Editor lball@unm.edu Professor Ball is an Associate Professor of History and has served as Editor of the New Mexico Historical Review since August 2000. He came to the NMHR after a ten-year editorial career at the University of New Mexico Press . He received his Ph.D. from the Department of History at the University of New Mexico in 1994. His fields of expertise are the American West and Southwest, U.S. military history, and public history. His publications include Army Regulars on the Western Frontier, 1848–1861 (University of Oklahoma Press, 2001) and journal articles on frontier military history.

		Cindy Tyson, Office Administrator ctyson@unm.edu Cindy Tyson worked in the University of New Mexico History Department for ten years, five years in the departmental office and five years as the Administrative Assistant for the Center for the Southwest (formerly the Center for the American West). She started at the Review in the fall of 2003. She has a Master's degree in Family Studies from UNM and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from The University of Texas at San Antonio. She was born in Nevada and raised in the Southwest.

Meg Frisbee, Managing Editor mfrisbee@unm.edu Meg has worked at the NMHR since 2005. She is working toward a Ph.D. in the history of the U.S. West.

Donna Peterson, Assistant Editor schankd@unm.edu Donna has worked at the NMHR since 2006. She is working toward a Ph.D. in the history of the U.S. West. She earned her M.A. from the University of Scranton.

Sonia Dickey, Assistant Editor soniad@aol.com Sonia has worked at the NMHR since 2007. She is working toward a Ph.D. in twentieth-century American Indian and environmental history. She has worked previously at the University of New Mexico Press.

Kara McCormack, Assistant Editor kmccorma@unm.edu Kara has worked at the NMHR since 2008 and oversees the book review department. She is working toward a Ph.D. in American Studies. Her research focuses on the mythic West in the popular imagination.

Hannah Wolberg, Assistant Editor hwolberg@unm.edu Hannah has worked at the NMHR since 2008. She is working toward an M.A. in history, focusing on landscape studies and historic preservation in New Mexico.
