The German Studies Program, University of New Mexico - Albuquerque in conjuction with the German departments and international agencies under the auspices of the Atlantic Bridge on the Camino Real (ABCR), will be presenting a transcontinental series of symposia in honor of the Year of Goethe 1999.

The following symposia are schedules for 1999:

Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico, USA The German Summer School of New Mexico July 7-11, 1999 "Utopie, Trugbild, Missinformation? Goethe ueber Amerika".

Zons am Rhein, Germany - with a boat ride to Weimar. Internationales Mundartarchiv Ludwig Soumagne September 22-27, 1999 "Hochlautung vor Verisimilitaet im Sprachgebrauch des Autors? Goethe und die Volksdichtung".
