SUPPORTERS & PARTICIPANTS:

In the summer of 1997, UNM extended an invitation to the German City of Kreis Neuss to send representatives and a soccer team to the "Land of Enchantment". This was coordinated by the Atlantic Bridge on the Camino Real through the participating programs of the German Summer School and the UNM Athletic Program. This invitation was in response to the 1996 invitation by Kreis Neuss for the UNM soccer team to visit Germany as a cultural initiative.

Numerous administrators, faculty members, students, and community members participated in exchanges such as these. Besides the UNM-Kreis Neuss soccer exchange, there are many programs that have chosen to operate under the Atlantic Bridge umbrella, and new participants are constantly being added.
