PROGRAMS .

ESTABLISHED PROGRAMS:

Well-established programs, nominally under the ABCR umbrella, such as the German Summer School of New Mexico, are still administered independently through the University of New Mexico's College of Arts and Sciences. Currently, the German Program at UNM and the German programs at three Mexican Universities (Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico at Mexico City, Chiapas at Tuxtla/Gutierrez and the Instituto Politecnico Nacional in Mexico City) have or will have contractual agreements to cooperate academically at both faculty and student levels within the UNM structure. The Camino Real was founded in 1995 and has convenios with most of these institutions that were drafted through UNM's Latin American Institute.

NEW PROGRAMS:

The ABCR program has been established to assist new programs with advice and support in administering and financing their endeavors. The ABCR will provide this support under the auspices of the UNM Division of Continuing Education and / or in cooperation with the UNM College of Arts and Sciences. Services the ABCR can provide are: stationery, copying, postal services, and telephoning, as well as faxing. For these services, the Division of Continuing Education charges a fee of not more than 12% of the basic operation costs for each program. Only programs with related missions and goals should voluntarily participate under the Atlantic Bridge on the Camino Real.
