Undergraduate Opportunities

There are many opportunities for undergraduate participation in research in our lab. If the research described in these pages interests you, please contact me or one of the people in the lab to discuss how you might get involved in research.

For highly motivated students, self-derived projects offer the opportunity to participate in the Biology Honors Program. These students develop a project in collaboration with a mentor in the lab. These students propose hypotheses, collect and analyze appropriate data and analyze these data to test their hypotheses. Students completing an honors thesis can receive honors at graduation.

We regularly employ students (with and without work-study awards) to support funded research projects during the school year and over the summer. In these positions, there are opportunities for interested students to develop independent lines of research that are derived from research projects underway in the lab.
