This course is continually evolving based on available equipment and student feedback.

This semester presents a mesh between old and new content that has been included in the curriculum since I first arrived in 1990.  Basic as well as advanced procedures will be covered in class; from calibrating instruments to research-quality data acquisition using complex methods, computerization, and even software programming using LabVIEW.

To get the most from this class I recommend that you do some of your own past research investigation on each topic using an internet search system, such as PubMed, or Medline.  In addition, all equipment will be available to you for practice in your own time, based on appropriate scheduling with Debra Giron.  Finally, I will be posting important reading to the website that must be completed prior to each designated class.  Such reading is essential to prepare for the content of each session.  Remember, this is a graduate level class, and graduate level knowledge and commitment is expected!
