Our HEDP work is presently focused on fast rise time voltage varying LTD driven
X-Pinches (Hybrid and Standard) and Z pinches of several different materials.
We presently count with spatial and temporally resolved spectroscopic (VIS) and interferometric diagnostics, Time integrated X-ray spectroscopy and are developing a Thomson scattering system - In 2022 it is our goal to implement a Faraday Rotation diagnostic on these HEDP loads
We utilize 2 rogowskis-opposite polarity rogowskis- for differential current measurement (Cables are visible at top). Cathode side counts with single rogowski.
Current return rods block part of the view. Pin hole based imaging plate with 3 to 1 magnification is placed at one of the openings between current return rods.
Open shutter image of X pinch configuration. Analysis of Spectroscopic and interferometric results, pin holes and X-ray diagnostics coming soon!
