The German Summer School is a nationally and internationally recognized program of excellence, combining advanced German language instruction (only German is spoken), with a curriculum simulating a German university setting. There is also occasion for students and faculty to meet renowned personalities from abroad. Together, with the on-campus German Studies Program, it offers a graduate program (M.A.), with over 30 M.A. diplomas earned in the 1990's. The school is located in the scenic Taos Ski Valley and was the cornerstone for the Atlantic Bridge on the Camino Real, as it was through this program that contacts from abroad were first initiated and established.
