A Master's degree in Hispanic Linguistics will give the students an opportunity to establish a competent knowledge base in a variety of content areas in linguistics. Our graduating students have been successful in marketing themselves to PhD programs in Hispanic Linguistics and to opportunities in the field of teaching. These content areas are the same as for the PhD students and the MA students will also receive close supervision and mentoring. We work hard to make sure that all MA students develop research skills in linguistics and that they have opportunities to present innovative work at professional conferences, for which there are many funding opportunities.
