  Objectives:  Students will:
  • Define the terms formative and summative assessment
  • Describe the educational impacts of formative and summative assessment
  • Describe the pros and cons of rubrics and checklists
  • Identify and correct rubric problems
  • Create an instructional website
  • Describe the advantages and disadvantages of JPG, GIF image files
  • Use a digital image editor to crop and resize image files
  • Describe instructional uses of digital images

      • List all the possible dimensions that you could look at. 
      • Narrow your choices to a reasonable number.
      • Decide on the number of performance levels.  Label them. (For example, “Fair”, “Average” and “Excellent”) 
      • Write statements that clearly describe the expected performance at each level of each dimension. 
      • Try out your rubric BEFORE using it!!! 
      • Make changes and corrections.

  1.  Complete the Rubric Analysis assignment. Bring your completed paper to next week's class.

  2.  Create the shell for your instructional website using these criteria.  Due next week. The completed instructional website is due the last day of class.

  3.  Complete the Digital Images Review
